Custom link aliases: more trust when you share

The benefit of a readable path

When people see kok.li/spring-sale, they understand where the link goes better than with a random string. That helps campaign branding and reduces hesitation before the click.

Naming rules on kok.li

A custom alias must be 6–32 characters and may only contain English letters, numbers, hyphens and underscores. Every alias is unique across the service; if it's taken, choose another name.

Security for sensitive links

A readable name doesn't mean the destination is public. For sensitive destinations use a link password or an expiry date (on supported plans). After expiry the link no longer opens the destination.

Available on every plan

Custom aliases don't require a paid plan; the main limit is your account's total number of links. The limits are listed on the pricing page.
