Not every short link should stay open forever. A password and an expiry date are two simple controls to limit access to the destination.
When do you need a password or expiry?
Product previews, temporary files, event invitations or internal team links usually shouldn't stay open after a certain date. An expiry date and a password cover these scenarios.
Destination validation
kok.li only accepts http and https addresses and blocks invalid domains. This layer prevents links to disallowed destinations from being created.
Managing links after creation
In the dashboard you can search and filter links and manage them as active, paused or archived. If a link is no longer needed, pause or archive it to prevent unwanted use.
